Just a heads up. Guess this works with all Iscan depend scanners from Epson. When it boots up, go back to devices, and select USB and your scanner should be there with a check by it. But the Epson V is still not working. I use iscan on my Epson MFP and it works great.

I just got done doing the exact thing I just wrote and it worked for me. I don't need to be root to scan.
